Certified Service at RK Subaru

RK is proud to have its fully-equipped Certified Service Center, Parts Department, and Paint & Body Shop. Using the latest and greatest in diagnostic technologies, our technicians diagnose and repair varieties of issues with a variety of vehicle makes and models. Working in RK Subaru's Service is a great starting point and opportunity for advancement in both automotive and customer service industries.

Consistently, we're on the lookout for loyal, well-skilled automobile service technicians that are customer service savvy, possessing the ability to problem-solve quickly and efficiently, along with the ability to work well independently or with others. It is important that these individuals possess good diagnostic abilities and the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. Opportunities exist for service technicians with postsecondary training, specialized skills or ASE certifications. We are looking for technicians that are reliable, flexible and determined with a valid driver's license and the ability to lift 50 pounds or so.

Essential Duties

·         Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

·         Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.

·         Communicates with Parts Department to obtain needed parts to perform and finish repairs on vehicle.

·         Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.

·         Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is needed, if outlined work is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.

·         Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.

·         Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.

·         Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.

·         Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.

·         Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.

·         Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.

·         Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.

·         Keeps shop area neat and clean.

·         Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.

·         Understands, keep abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.

·         Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

·         Reports any safety issues immediately to management.

Our Subaru dealership is one of the many entities that make up what RK Auto Group is; a living and breathing company comprised of nearly 250 employees, making it a priority to have a reliable backbone infrastructure to hold up the company. That's where our support staff come in.

The Support Department in RK is an excellent platform to begin building and shaping your office or administrative career. The opportunities to grow within our company are endless. We are an extensively growing company with needs for many different positions such as accounting, payroll, social media managers, graphics designers and photographers, along with insurance & claims handling, billing, collections, and we couldn't do without our amazing secretarial staff.

Working in our Support Department is challenging, but it is an exponentially growing position where no two days are the same, and excitement is in the air. Our Sales and Service departments quite heavily rely on the spine of our company; the Support department. We're always looking for individuals with an enthusiastic attitude to learn more daily, take initiative, and find better ways to do tasks using newer methods, technologies, and so on.

Essential Duties

Accounts payable, accounts receivable, DMV processing, vehicle billing, bookkeeping, account reconciliation, schedule maintenance, write and post journal entries, file documents, receipt monies, prepare and mail monthly statements, and other duties as assigned by the department manager.

 

Language Skills

·         Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

·         Ability to write simply correspondence.

·         Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

·         Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

·         Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

·         Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

·         Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

·         Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

·         Ability to compute ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs, or other graph & chart types.

·         Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

·         Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability

·         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed by uninvolved written or oral instructions.
